Hiatus

I've been slacking here as I finished up with my Master's degree and have been handling other recent life changes. Thanks to all the loyals who have continued to check back even though all you've been seeing is Penguins, ad nauseum.

I'm back in business and should be posting much more frequently now. We'll start with my most recent movie-going experience: King Kong.

Enjoy and thanks for your patience.

O K, so I guess you're suggesting we wait for it to come out on DVD, make a big batch of popcorn, buy a box of candy, and maybe a soda or two.
At least at home I can take a break and pee. Or watch the three segments in three sittings.
I can also rewind and watch the FX over again --if I like them. Home has it's advantages. THANKS, NETFLIX.
I did watch the original. . and loved it. But way back then it was actually a new idea - - late 1950's! You would have to present something spectacular to have a re-make better than the original.
I expect it will still be "entertaining" at 5 out of 10.

Entertaining, probably. A popcorn flick to be sure. I suppose my expectations were just too great. Sort of like biting into a baloney and "cheese food" sandwhich on Wonder bread when you expected Guigni's.

You know what I mean.

Try it out on Netflix, you may like it more than me. Maybe the small screen and flexibility of intermission will assist in the tediousness.

Thanks for commenting.
